Do you want to learn how to set up Apple Watch for Hyrox Race? Follow this tutorial
Nowadays there are sports watches with high technology that help us to give a relevant amount of information during and after running.
Personally I do not have a preference for a specific brand but as I have received several questions on how to configure the Apple Watch for a Hyrox race, I asked my good friend Luis Mesquita, Apple user and also Hyrox athlete, to help me to make this tutorial on how to prepare your Apple Watch for the race.
It is possible to set up your Apple Watch via the native APP for a Hyrox run, however, Luis’ recommendation is to download the Intervals PRO App.
Before we move on to the step-by-step tutorial confirm you have the Intervals Pro app installed on your iPhone and Apple Watch.

Other important considerations you should have for your Hyrox Race with your Apple Watch
Prepare your Apple Watch: Make sure your Apple Watch is fully charged before the race. Also, ensure it’s properly synced with your iPhone and updated to the latest software version.
Monitor your progress: During the race, you can glance at your Apple Watch to check your current metrics, such as heart rate, distance covered, and elapsed time. This will help you keep track of your performance and adjust your pace if needed.
End the workout: Once you’ve completed the HYROX race, remember to stop the workout on your Apple Watch. Your Apple Watch will then summarise your workout, including details like distance, average pace, and calories burned.
Review your workout data: After the race, you can sync your Apple Watch with your iPhone to view more detailed information about your HYROX performance. Open the Fitness app on your iPhone, navigate to the “Workouts” tab, and locate the HYROX workout. Here, you can find additional data, such as heart rate zones, splits, and a map of your route if you use GPS.
Remember to consult the official HYROX guidelines and regulations regarding the use of devices during the race to ensure compliance with their rules.
Before your Hyrox Race…
I suggest you always do a practice run in this new configuration before trying it for the first time on race day.
Now you are ready to measure your race.
Have a good race!
